SUMMARY:GYP Impact: Jr. Achievement of Georgia
DESCRIPTION:WHAT ARE GYP IMPACT EVENTS? \nWe partner with various local non-profits to provide avenues for young adults to utilize their sphere of influence to positively impact others. Through these partnerships\, we are able to offer young professionals in Gwinnett a myriad of different volunteer and community service opportunities. For this GYP Impact event\, we are partnering with Junior Achievement of Georgia and we will be volunteering on November 3rd at their Discovery Center in Gwinnett. \nJUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT DISCOVERY CENTER AT GWINNETT\nEvery year more than 25\,000 middle school students from Gwinnett County Public Schools have the opportunity to take part in JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. Located on the campus of Discovery High School in Lawrenceville\, the high-impact education center allows middle school students to experience learning like never before. Following a series of in-class lessons\, the JA Discovery Center brings education to life and provides students with an immersive learning experience that gives them a glimpse of what their futures can entail. Click here to take a look inside the facility. \nVolunteer Role\nSee volunteers in action: Click Here for our Volunteer Video \nYou will coach a small group of students through the simulation\, while sharing your life experiences that will help make the day authentic for the students. In JA Finance Park\, you’ll help students make the connection between their education and career\, career and income\, and ultimately their income and lifestyle. You will help them discover the value of themselves\, their education\, and their future beyond the classroom walls. No matter your profession\, your life experiences qualify you to be a successful volunteer! Please read our volunteer waiver in advance. That’s why it is her mission to help organizations\, teams\, professionals\, and people reimagine and redesign the way they do life and work through the power of purpose and the science and practice of industrial-organizational psychology. \nShe is currently living out this mission as an I-O Consultant to organizations through her company Excel Leadership\, where she creates purpose-driven and engaging cultures for organizations\, teams\, and professionals to excel and thrive in the workplace. She also serves as a Certified Life & Leadership Coach through her personal and professional development company\, Life Designer University\, where she coaches women to design a life and career they love. \nJanelle has been seen in numerous publications such as Inspired Coach Magazine\, Relevant Entrepreneur\, The She Laughs Project\, Be Wise Magazine\, and Voyage ATL\, and has also been featured on podcasts such as She Did It Her Way and About Progress. SUMMARY:Tuesday Trivia
DESCRIPTION:Some things to keep in mind: \nEach team member will need to fill out his/her own registration + pay for his/her admission ticket. \nEach team can have a minimum of 3 people and maximum of 5 people. \nHow do I pay? \nThe cost is $5 per player and you can pay by clicking the Register button below. \nWhat are the rules? How does this work? \nTuesday Trivia is conducted via Zoom. There are 6 rounds\, each round has 3 questions. There is also a halftime question and a final question. This makes for 20 questions total. \nThe host will welcome participants and announce teams. The host will read the trivia question and then send the teams into their breakout sessions (using the Zoom Breakout Session feature). Teams will have 90 seconds to discuss the question\, come up with an answer\, and direct message the host their answer. Once the timer runs out\, players will be brought back together by the host. During the Halftime question and Final question\, teams will have 30 additional seconds to give their answer. The Host will be keeping all scores and will announce the scores before the Halftime question\, before the Final question\, and after the Final question. \nWhat do I win? \nAll players will be entered to win a gift card. In addition\, each player on the winning team will receive 1 free admission to a GYP event of their choice + GYP swag. \n*GYP Tuesday Trivia relies on your upmost honesty. We trust that you will answer questions honestly and without the help of any outside aide. \nREGISTER
