An event every week that begins at 1:30 pm on Monday and Thursday, repeating until November 16, 2022
The Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Community Food Center is a direct distribution food pantry to help us meet the need in food insecure areas. Volunteers will help us package and distribute food to the Stone Mountain community.
This shift will consist of vehicle coordination and loading food boxes, up to 40 lbs., into vehicles. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with packaging boxes of non-perishables or bags of produce and other food items for distribution at a later date.
Volunteers are needed weekly, Monday – Thursdays.
To see our calendar of opportunities and register for our shifts, please visit our website at http://vhub.at/CommunityFoodCenter .
Groups: Reservations for volunteer groups of 8 or more must be coordinated via a Volunteer Coordinator. Please visit our Volunteer Group Request Form if you are interested in bringing a group.
Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 12 years or older to volunteer. All volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Chaperone Requirements: Every volunteer group with children must follow the chaperone ratio: 1 adult per every 8 youth (age 12 and older). Chaperones are required to remain with underage volunteers at all times.

Please reschedule your volunteer shift if you feel sick or if you recently were exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19. The Food Bank may reintroduce these requirements if periods of high community transmission occur.
