What is it? GYP’s annual Holiday Happy Hour is a holiday themed networking event designed for young professionals to come make new connections while celebrating the holidays with fun drinks, appetizers, and games! Additionally, this year, we are using the event to raise awareness for Boy With a Ball.
Where is it? StillFire Brewing (343 US-23, Suwanee, GA 30024)
Who’s invited? Young professionals between the ages of 21-35 who live, work, or play in Gwinnett County.
What do I wear? Wear your favorite tacky holiday-themed sweater! We will be awarding prizes to the Tackiest Sweaters!
How do I get in the holiday spirit? Donate to Boy With a Ball!
What’s included in my ticket? Admission to the event, 2 drink tickets, and food vouchers to Atlanta Pizza Truck.
About this Year’s Beneficiary
Boy With a Ball’s mission is to better cities by reaching and equipping young people to turn and transform their communities. They do this by bringing youth hope, in turn, lifting neighborhoods out of poverty.
What does this look like practically? It looks like Rehabilitation for street kids in Kenya, Youth Mentorship Programs in schools, Summer Literacy programs for economically disadvantaged communities, ESL classes, Summer Camps for youth, Tutoring centers in vulnerable neighborhoods, Scholarships, and mentoring relationships and small groups that help community members rise out of poverty.
