What is Annandale Village?
Annandale Village is the only non-profit residential community in the entire southeastern United States that serves adults with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries at all levels of care throughout an individual’s lifetime. Annandale Village serves adults 18 yrs+ who have a primary diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability, as well as individuals who have acquired brain injuries. This organization is primarily residential and has approximately 150 individuals who live on campus full-time, but also offers day programs and overnight respite services to an additional 50+ individuals.

Schedule of the Day:
This volunteer day is from 10AM-11AM (volunteers can stay until 11:30, if desired). The volunteer activity will be to come and spend time with Annandale Village’s “Villagers” – they absolutely love getting to meet and spend time with community members. Typically, volunteers will partake in activities such as playing games like bingo or trivia, listening to music and/or playing volleyball or some other activity in the gym. It depends on which staff member is working, as well as what the Villagers are interested in doing.
Dress Attire
Casual and comfortable (nothing that reveals too much skin, i.e. really short shorts or low cut shirts).
Other Details:
Annandale Village no longer requires volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
