GYP Impact – Read Across America at Jackson Elementary School

In honor of Read Across America week, we will be visiting Jackson Elementary School to read children’s books to elementary classrooms. Join us as we make an impact on children’s literacy!

The deadline to register is February 28th, so we can pass on the coordination to teachers.

Participants will volunteer from 10:00-12:00am, spending 15 minutes at a time reading to different 2nd & 3rd grade classrooms. After registering, GYP staff will follow up with you to confirm this time slot for volunteering and connect you with school admin for logistical details.

Schedule of the Day:

This  volunteer day is from 10AM-12AM . Volunteers do not have to stay the entire two hours – whatever availability you have within that timeframe would be wonderful.  Once the school administrator gets the list of names and your available time slot(s), she will assign the classes.   

We appreciate your time, and are grateful for your willingness to read to the students at Jackson.

Casual or business casual is acceptable.
