GYP Impact: Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett Volunteer Opportunity

Make a Splash with Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett!

For more than 30 years Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett has been educating and empowering children who need a dedicated and flexible school setting to maximize their potential. Their mission is to nurture and challenge each student at their own level while instilling a positive self-image and love for learning that will last a lifetime.

This July, Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett will be hosting a summer camp for their students! GYP is partnering with Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett to offer young professionals an opportunity to volunteer at the summer camp. The summer camp will be held outside from July 19th – July 21st and will include a myriad of fun outdoor water activities for the kids. Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett is seeking volunteers to help out at each water-activity station from 12:30pm-2:30pm. Volunteers will be required to help kids get through each station safely and ensure they’re having fun.

Volunteers have the option to choose from 3 different dates – either July 19th, July 20th, or July 21st. Registration is required.

Please note, volunteer’s clothes and shoes may get wet. Please be sure to dress accordingly. Additionally, all volunteers are required to fill out a Release and Consent Form and will be required to complete a brief online background check. More details will be provided once registered.
